I want to share a little bit about the design of the crafting gameplay. The way crafting will work in the upcoming release is through a series of events, and choices. Some events will be universally applicable, while others require specific circumstances to trigger. Some even require other events to proceed them or certain choices to be chosen before they can show up.
The end result is a bit like a choose your own adventure. It's a great spot in the game to add a touch of flavor. There are so many kinds of scenarios that are better suited to a text description than an in-game mechanic. I've been working towards completing this first step towards a more choose your own adventure crafting element and the image here shows how some of that looks at a high level.
